The Mima Marauders is a small, friendly cowboy action Evergreen Logoshooting club that meets monthly at the Evergreen Sportsmen's Club, just south of Olympia, Washington. We take our name from the nearby Mima Mounds Natural Preserve Area - hundreds of 6-foot-tall-by-30-foot-wide uniformly distributed mounds of soil of unknown origin.

We are Washington State's newest SASS-affiliated cowboy action shooting club. We received our affiliation certificate in July, 2009. We hosted our first official SASS match on August 8, 2009, although we have been holding informal shoots for more than a year. Please come join in the fun.

Flashpowder Hal shows his first place B-Western form. Yee Haw!

Our club is family oriented, and spectators are welcome. Please drop by and say hello. Feel free to bring your family; bring your friends; bring your non-aggressive dogs; and by all means, bring your Old West spirit. We are all about having fun, but since we use live ammunition, safety is of paramount concern. All shooters and their guests must wear eye protection and hearing protection.

  • We meet the second Saturday of each month, rain or shine, except for July, when the entire range is closed for the Pacific International Trap Association Championship matches.

  • Set up for the match is Friday at 2 p.m., and Saturday morning at 8 a.m. If you are free to lend a hand, we welcome the help.

  • Check-in is from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Match fees are $10. The safety meeting begins at 9:30 a.m., with the match following shortly thereafter.

  • We shoot six stages at each match in three shooting bays. We have an additional fourth bay with a target set up for those who need to do some last minute sighting in. Ribbons are awarded in each category to fifth place. Clean shooters earn a jar of Wildcat Carole's homemade preserves.SASS Logo
